How are my personal information protected and Is your website secured?

Yes, we have invested time and money in ensuring data security and data integrity for our website's customers. We have implemented Secure Sockets Layer or SSL which is the security technology establishing an encrypted link between a web server (Island Shipping Company) and a browser (our customer). This link ensures that all data passed between the two entities stays secure, private, and integral. Before you give a away your personal information to any website, make sure that the website is fully secured. One way to know if the website is secured is looking at the URL bar. If the bar shows a lock symbol and the link starts off with https then you know it is secured.

Do you ship bulk items such as construction materials?

A.

Yes. Bulk shipment is sent out through freight forwarders. We will be working directly with local freight forwarders in Honolulu to ensure that your order reaches its destination in a timely manner. Depending on the size of the item you ordered, the item may or may not be placed on a pallet and then inside a shipping container. Regardless, we will find a way to send you the item and this process will be communicated to you every step of the way.

What kind of payment options do you have?

Right now, we are working on upgrading our system to accept payments online. We encourage our customers to use other payment methods such as checks or money orders. We can work with you to establish a payment agreement. We have bank accounts such as American Savings Bank and Bank of Guam that we use as our payment gateways.

What are your shipping fees?

We charge a % fee of the total cost of the order.

Do all orders offering shipment tracking?

A.

Most of orders usually have a tacking number issue regardless where it is being shipped. This is really dependent on the carrier of the order. Island Shipping Company do not issue a tracking number but we can re-distribute the tracking number that the carrier is using.

Will you be willing to forward my order if I send it to your address?

A.

Most certainly! We encourage it. We know that some companies do not allow shipment outside US continent or to PO Boxes. You can use our physical address. Please let us know in advance and provide the details of your order as well. If you need it expedited please let us know. We will let you know as soon as it arrives. We will hold on to the order for as long we can but we will return it to sender if no one claims it.

Is there a fee to request a copy of the purchase order?

If you need a hard copy mailed to you then you may have to pay for the postage. If you need a softcopy or electronic copy then we dont charge.

What is your return policy?

A.

All sales is final. Unless you have purchased liability insurance and the product owner or seller allows you to return it then you may return the product. However, that will be something entirely different that you and your vendor will have to arrange. We encourage our customers to purchase insurance but it is not required.
